Hand Crafted T-shirts

We print our t-shirts in our workshop in Glasgow. The printing is done by hand using waterbased inks.

Eco-Friendly Printing

We exclusively use Permaset inks which are 100% solvent free.

Eco-friendly & vegan: vegetable extracts are used to create vibrant colours.

Stencils

Designs are 'burned' onto mesh screens.

Screens are coated with a light-sensitive emulsion and left to dry. The design is sandwiched between the screen and a uv light source and exposed for a certain length of time.

The design then gets washed out as the emulsion has hardened due to the light.

Printing

Once set up, the ink is pushed through the open design on the screen using a squeegee (hard strip of rubber).

This leaves the ink on the t-shirt where it's supposed to be.

Finishing up

Once the printing has been completed, the design then needs to be cured.

Heat is applied to the design long enough to ensure the ink adheres to the fabric. This stops the design from washing away when the t-shirt is cleaned.
